Palestinian political prisoner in Israeli jails Qusai Adel Hamdia completes today 20 years behind Israeli prison bars, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
Hamdia, who hails from the town of Al-Yamun in the northern West Bank province of Jenin, was arrested on 29 June 2003, and was sentenced to 28 years in prison for his resistance of the Israeli occupation.
Hamdia’s mother passed away two years ago while her son was still prison, and he was denied his right to bid his mom a last farewell by the Israeli occupation.
Israeli authorities are currently incarcerating more than 4,700 Palestinian prisoners for resisting its occupation of their homeland.
