The Commission for Prisoners and Ex-Detainees Affairs today said that Israel is holding in its prisons 18 Jordanians imprisoned for their role in the resistance against the Israeli occupation.
It said in a report that among the Jordanian prisoners, there are nine serving one or more life sentences, five serving sentences ranging from 20-36 years, three serving sentences ranging between 15-19 years, and one prisoner serving a sentence of five years.
It explained that seven of the Jordanian prisoners have been incarcerated for more than 20 years, and five others have been in prison for more than 15 years.
There are over 4500 Palestinian freedom fighters incarcerated in Israel for their resistance to the occupation.
