A missile strike carried out by the occupying Israeli regime on Syria’s capital, Damascus, this morning resulted in the killing of a member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and left several others injured, according to a security source, as reported by Reuters.
Syrian state media noted a probable Israeli attack targeting a building in the Mazzeh neighborhood of Damascus, offering limited details. Additional local media in Syria reported hearing explosions throughout the Syrian capital.
The security source, associated with a network of groups closely aligned with Syria’s government and its primary ally Iran, revealed that the targeted multi-storey building was completely destroyed by “precision-targeted Israeli missiles.”
Essam Al-Amin, the head of Al-Mowasat Hospital in Damascus, informed local Syrian outlet Al-Watan Online that the hospital received one fatality and three wounded individuals, including a woman, following the attack on Saturday.
Despite initial reports suggesting the presence of members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the bombed-out building, a spokesman for the movement later confirmed that none of their members were injured in the strike.
