10 civilians shot, 14 others detained during storming of Aqabat Jabr camp

10 young men were injured by live bullets, one of whom was described as critical, tonight, and 14 citizens were arrested during the Israeli occupation forces’ raid on Aqabat Jaber camp, south of Jericho.

Eyewitnesses reported that large forces of the occupation army stormed the camp from several directions, deployed on the rooftops of the houses in the camp, and raided more than 30 houses, including the house of the governor of Jericho and the Jordan Valley, Jihad Abu al-Assal, and his sons.

They added that the occupation forces fired live bullets and poison gas bombs at the young men and the houses, as a result of which 10 young men were wounded with live bullets in the lower extremities, including one critically.

The Captive Club reported that the occupation forces arrested 14 citizens during the storming of the camp, they are: Omar Nasser Al-Hinnawi, Muhammad Issa Hajjaj, Muhammad Adel Sharaf, Iyad Hamidat, Muhammad Fawzi Awadat, Ibrahim Youssef Yaghi, Alaa Al-Bitar, Muhammad Fawaz Bilhan, Ramzi Fawaz Bilhan, Fayez Ramzy Belhan, Ramy Yahya El-Gammal, Zaid Mohamed Raslan, Ibrahim Al-Alam, and Alaa Abu Atta.

The occupation forces closed all entrances to the camp and prevented citizens from entering or leaving it, as well as preventing ambulances from entering, and reinforced their presence with heavy military vehicles.
