March in Gaza warns of unexpected reactions to the issue of prisoner Daqqa

Hundreds of citizens participated today, Thursday, in a mass rally in solidarity with the prisoner Walid Daqqa inside the occupation prisons.

The participants, who arrived at the sit-in tent in front of the Red Cross headquarters, raised pictures of the prisoner Daqqa and the flags of Palestine and the People’s Party.

The official of the Office of Martyrs, Prisoners and Wounded in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Awad Al-Sultan, warned of the repercussions of the continuing health condition of the prisoner leader, Walid Daqqa.

He said during the demonstration: “The occupation must wait for unexpected reactions that will open the door wide to a complete explosion of the situation in the event that the Zionist enemy insists on implementing the policy of slow execution against him.”

He called on the Red Cross, the World Health Organization and human rights organizations to assume their urgent responsibilities in bringing in specialized medical teams to treat chronic and urgent illnesses inside prisons, including the health status of the prisoner leader, Walid Daqqa.

He said that the prisoner, Daqqa, needs urgent diagnosis, follow-up on his health, provision of the necessary medicines, and transfer to a private hospital where all forms of care are available.

He called for the development of a comprehensive and urgent national plan at all levels, to address the policy of medical negligence pursued by the Zionist occupation against dozens of female and male prisoners, especially the prisoner commander, Walid Daqqa.
