Israeli settlers damage olive saplings near Ramallah

Israeli settlers damaged, at Monday dawn, olive saplings in Palestinian citizens’ lands in the village of Um Safa, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah.

The head of the Umm Safa local council, Marwan Sabah, said that a number of settlers infiltrated citizens’ lands, destroyed about 20 olive seedlings, and seized a water tank.

He pointed out that the citizens were able to expel the settlers from the area, who fled to the illegal Israeli settlement of Ateret, which was established on the lands of Umm Safa and Atara.
