Palestinian injured by settler’s bullet in Burqa village, his four sons among 16 Palestinians detained by IOF

A man who was shot and wounded by an Israeli settler in the village of Burqa near Ramallah three days ago and his four sons were among 16 Palestinians the Israeli occupation forces detained this morning in raids across the occupied territories, according to various sources.

The Israeli army raided the village of Burqa early this morning where a settler shot and killed Quasi Maatan, 19, on Friday, and detained Ammar Usaileh, who was wounded by the settlers in the same incident, and his four sons after raiding and searching their home.

One person was also detained in an army raid at the village of al-Mughayyer, east of Ramallah, and another during a raid at his home in the village of Beit Rima, west of Ramallah.

In occupied East Jerusalem, the Israeli occupation forces detained two Palestinians, each 25 years of age, after raiding their homes in al-Tur neighborhood and Shufat refugee camp.

Three other Palestinians were detained in the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus, after raiding their homes, two were detained in the city of Jenin in an army incursion and raid at their homes, and two others were detained in the southern West Bank governorate of Bethlehem, one of them from al-Khader, 23 years old, and the other from Beit Fajjar, 20 years old.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society said Israel detained 4400 Palestinians in the occupied territories from the start of this year until the end of July.
