Israeli settlers destroy, uproot and steal olive trees in Salfit-area town

Israeli settlers today uprooted and destroyed around 35 olive trees owned by a local Palestinian resident in Haris town to the west of Salfit, according to the owner.

The owner, Khaled Aqel, said that settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of ‘Netafim’ uprooted and stole olive saplings and destroyed several other fully-grown olive trees in the said town.

Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their property is commonplace in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
