Gaza death toll continues to rise as Israel’s genocide campaign marks day 87

Israeli occupation forces are persisting in their indiscriminate bombardment campaign across the Gaza Strip for the 87th consecutive day, resulting in further civilian casualties over the last few hours, according to medical sources.

The latest Israeli airstrikes were concentrated on Khan Yunis in the south of the region, as well as in the refugee camps in central Gaza, resulting in the tragic loss of lives and leaving dozens injured.

Additionally, artillery shelling persisted around the city of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip and the Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City.

The eastern and northern regions of Khan Yunis witnessed a barrage of Israeli artillery shelling, leading to the death of a civilian and injuries in an attack on the Abu Hattab family home west of Khan Yunis.

At least one Palestinian was reported killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Qizan Rushwan neighborhood, along with other areas in the south-east and central areas of the city.

Meanwhile, intense explosions rocked the central region of the Gaza Strip due to concentrated Israeli airstrikes and artillery fire.

Medical sources reported late yesterday that multiple civilians were killed and others injured when Israeli warplanes targeted a group of individuals near Daula roundabout in the Zaytoun neighborhood east of Gaza City.

Several citizens, mostly children, were also injured after an Israeli drone strike hit a house in the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza. Injuries were also admitted to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital following Israeli airstrikes targeting homes in the nearby Nuseirat refugee camp.

The Israeli occupation forces persist in their aggression on Gaza on the 87th day, resulting in the tragic loss of 21,822 lives and the injury of 56,451 others, predominantly children and women. Additionally, thousands are reported missing.
