Major Construction Giants are Enabling Israel’s Destruction of South Lebanon

NEW | Major Construction Giants are Enabling Israel’s Destruction of South Lebanon

Human rights experts have warned that major multinational companies, including Caterpillar, Volvo, Hyundai, Doosan, Hitachi, and Komatsu, could face complicity in war crimes after documented evidence showed Israeli forces using their bulldozers and excavators to demolish entire villages across southern Lebanon.

Investigations found that at least 46 Lebanese border villages suffered extensive destruction, much of it carried out after the Lebanon ceasefire, while rights groups argue the widespread demolition of civilian property may constitute a war crime.

Experts say the continued supply of heavy machinery to Israel raises serious legal and ethical questions, particularly given decades of documented use of similar equipment in the destruction of Palestinian homes and communities.

Rights advocates stress that companies cannot claim ignorance when their machinery is repeatedly used in operations linked to forced displacement.
