Israeli forces killed two Palestinians and wounded several others, some critically, in an evening strike on Sunday that hit gatherings of displaced people in Jabalia refugee camp and Gaza City. The strike was accompanied by heavy artillery shelling and gunfire from Israeli military vehicles targeting eastern areas of the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources in Gaza reported that four additional people were killed since dawn the same day, as a result of a separate wave of Israeli airstrikes that hit scattered locations across the territory — bringing the day’s overall death toll to at least six.
The strikes formed part of what has become a near-daily pattern of ceasefire violations in Gaza, with medical and rescue teams describing mounting strain in treating the wounded amid ongoing shortages of medical supplies and infrastructure damage across the strip’s hospital system.
