Israeli Forces Escalate Aggression on Husan Town With Closures, Raids and Arrests

Israeli forces continued their assault on the town of Husan, west of Bethlehem, for a second consecutive day, deploying widespread raids and a total closure of roads.

Residents reported that troops blocked the dawn call to prayer during the operation, as arrests and incursions swept through the town amid mounting tension in the southern West Bank.

For the second day running, Israeli occupation forces intensified their crackdown on Husan, a town west of Bethlehem, carrying out sweeping raids, a wave of arrests, and a comprehensive closure of access roads. According to local reports, troops prevented the dawn call to prayer from being broadcast during the operation, a move that has drawn condemnation from residents and rights advocates who view it as part of a broader pattern of collective punishment measures imposed on West Bank communities. The closures have restricted movement in and out of the town, compounding the economic and humanitarian strain on local families already affected by recurring military operations in the area.
