Deadly Drone Strike Hits Asqoula Roundabout in Gaza City
An Israeli drone struck the Asqoula roundabout area in Gaza City around midday, local time. Shortly afterward, local sources reported that at least two Palestinians were killed when the drone targeted a group of civilians gathered near the same roundabout in the eastern part of the city. The strike added to a string of aerial attacks that have repeatedly hit civilian gathering points across Gaza City in recent weeks.
Separate Strike Kills Another Palestinian East of Gaza City.
In a related but separate incident, an Israeli drone was reported to have targeted civilians in the eastern part of Gaza City earlier the same day. A few hours later, another strike on a group of civilians in the same general area left at least one more Palestinian dead. Together, the two incidents underscore the ongoing danger civilians face simply moving through open areas of the city.
Homes Demolished in Khan Younis, Woman Shot and Wounded
South of Gaza City, in Khan Younis, Israeli occupation forces were reported to have detonated residential blocks that had previously housed displaced Palestinian families — an act reported twice within the same afternoon. Separately, a Palestinian woman was shot and injured by Israeli gunfire in the same city, in an incident local sources described as part of the ongoing military presence in the area.
As of the time of writing (afternoon, July 20, 2026), local and international human rights organizations continue to call for independent verification of casualty figures and unrestricted humanitarian access to Gaza.
