Gaza Friday Roundup: Multiple Killed and Wounded as Israeli Strikes Hit Homes Across North, Central, and South Gaza Strip.

Gaza City and the North: Homes Struck, a Cyclist Killed.

In northern Gaza, 30-year-old Mohammed Ahmed Khair al-Najjar sustained moderate wounds after being shot by Israeli forces in Jabalia al-Balad. In Gaza City’s al-Saftawi area, an Israeli strike hit the al-Qanou family home, sparking a fire and causing extensive damage to the surrounding area; the strike came after the home had reportedly already been evacuated, and injuries were transported from the site. Separately, a Palestinian man was killed when he was targeted while riding a bicycle near al-Istijaba Mosque in the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City. Two more people, including a young girl, arrived wounded at al-Shifa Hospital after Israeli forces targeted a group of civilians near Khadija Mosque, opposite the Labad building in the Mukhabarat area, northwest of Gaza City.

Central Gaza: A Deadly Day for Deir al-Balah and Nuseirat

In central Gaza, wounded were evacuated after a strike hit the Abu Amra family home near the Musbeh Diwan, close to al-Bukhari Mosque, a house that had reportedly received a prior warning. In the Nuseirat refugee camp, a strike on the Abu Yousef al-Hawajri family home also damaged several neighboring homes belonging to the Abu Shakian, Zaqout, Khalifa, Tabaza, and Hattat families, along with a second Hawajri family home, with ten wounded transported from the scene; the home had reportedly been warned in advance. Near a private bank in the Cairo-Amman area east of central Deir al-Balah, a drone strike killed Mahmoud Mohammed Fatayer and wounded several others. A separate strike near Salah al-Din Street, north of Deir al-Balah, killed Mohammed Abdel Nasser al-Khatib. In the Maghazi camp, a strike hit the Abu Raed al-Salahat family home near the agency clinic and Ziad Maatouq restaurant, after the family had reportedly been warned beforehand.

Southern Gaza: Arrests, Gunfire, and a Body Torn Apart Near a Slaughterhouse

In southern Gaza, Israeli special forces entered the al-Iqlimi area east of al-Abbarat Street, south of Khan Younis, and detained resident Shawqi al-Jabali. A Palestinian was wounded by Israeli gunfire near the Alam roundabout in the Mawasi area of Rafah, and another was wounded near the Abu Hamid roundabout in Khan Younis. Near the slaughterhouse area south of Khan Younis, a drone strike killed a Palestinian man, whose remains were reported as dismembered by the force of the attack. An additional wounded person was transported from near the al-Iqlimi junction to the Red Cross field hospital in the Mawasi area of Rafah.
Israeli reconnaissance drones continued to be heard flying over the Gaza Strip throughout the day, a near-constant presence residents describe as adding to the psychological toll of daily life under the ongoing bombardment. Friday’s events reflect the broader pattern of near-daily Israeli military activity across Gaza despite the ceasefire agreement that has technically been in place since October of last year, with strikes, raids, and gunfire continuing to kill and wound Palestinians across all three regions of the Strip in a single 24-hour period.
