A Young Man Killed, Two Others Wounded in Khan Younis
A young Palestinian man was killed by Israeli military gunfire in the Nuseirat refugee camp, central Gaza. At the same time, two other Palestinians were wounded by Israeli fire in central Khan Younis — one near the Sunniya square, the other close to the Abu Hamid roundabout. Two more Palestinians were wounded in the Dalloul area of the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, as Israeli tanks fired intensely east of the town of Qarara, north of Khan Younis. Israeli warplanes separately carried out two airstrikes south of Khan Younis city, in southern Gaza.
Israel Claims a Bomb Blast and Two Killings Near the “Yellow Line.
The Israeli military claimed Saturday evening that an explosive device had struck a Givati Brigade tank it said Hamas had planted in the “yellow line” area of southern Gaza, saying no soldiers were hurt. In a separate incident, the military claimed paratroopers spotted two Palestinians who had allegedly crossed the “yellow line” and approached troops in what it described as an attempt to reach military equipment, saying soldiers opened fire and killed them after judging them to pose a “threat.” The Israeli military labeled both incidents violations of the ceasefire agreement and said its forces in southern Gaza would continue acting to remove what it called any “immediate threat.”
Three Killed Near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, Nightly Demolitions Continue.
The reported deaths came hours after three Palestinians were killed and others wounded earlier Saturday in an Israeli drone strike near the entrance of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza — initially reported as a strike on a motorcycle on Salah al-Din Street near the hospital before the toll rose to three. In southern Gaza, the Israeli military continued demolishing buildings north of Rafah, with local sources reporting seven to eight separate demolition operations since the previous night, alongside further demolitions in the Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City, accompanied by gunfire and artillery shelling in several areas as part of the continuing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement.
The overall death toll from Israel’s war on Gaza has climbed to 73,391 killed and 174,280 wounded since October 7, 2023. Medical sources said Gaza’s hospitals received two killed and 14 wounded over the past 24 hours, bringing the total killed since the ceasefire took effect on October 11 last year to 1,262, with 4,168 wounded and 808 bodies recovered from rubble — as an unknown number of victims remain trapped beneath rubble and in the streets, with rescue and ambulance crews still unable to reach them.
