Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey Condemn Israel’s Latest Attacks on Gaza as Mediators Warn of Undermined Ceasefire.

Mediators Voice “Deep Concern” Over Renewed Civilian Deaths

Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, as the ceasefire’s mediating states, strongly condemned Israel’s latest attacks in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, which resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children, and expressed deep concern over the continued violations. In a joint statement published on the Egyptian Foreign Ministry’s page, the mediating countries said the escalation of Israeli attacks undermines regional and international efforts at a critical stage, as intensive work continues to implement the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza — including the meeting between the Board of Peace and Israeli officials and constructive steps in the negotiating process.

A Call to Honor the Ceasefire and Security Council Resolution 2803

The mediating states stressed the necessity of Israel’s full commitment to all its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and refraining from any actions that could weaken the truce or lead to an escalation of tensions. The statement added that, in light of the devastating consequences of Israel’s continued aggression in the region, the mediating states renew their call on the international community and the Board of Peace, under the leadership of US President Donald Trump, to take the necessary steps to ensure compliance with the ceasefire in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2803, and to exert effective pressure to prevent any further escalation.
The statement comes a day after an Israeli airstrike killed nine people at a civil police headquarters in central Gaza City, part of a broader wave of strikes that killed 11 Palestinians across the Strip and added seven more to the Health Ministry’s 24-hour toll, in what Gaza’s Interior Ministry described as a new massacre against police personnel. The mediators’ rare joint public rebuke underscores growing frustration among the parties that brokered the October ceasefire over Israel’s continued strikes nearly ten months after the truce was meant to take hold, even as diplomatic efforts continue toward implementing the agreement’s next phase.
