A Drone Strike in Khan Younis, a Delayed Death in Deir al-Balah
Four Palestinians were killed on Tuesday, three of them from wounds sustained earlier, and others were wounded, in Israeli shelling and gunfire that struck scattered areas of the Gaza Strip, amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement. Local sources reported the death of 23-year-old Amir Ahmed Ibrahim al-Kadash, killed in an Israeli drone strike near the Tiberias area in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Separately, resident Abdel Majeed Ahmed Hijab died from wounds sustained days earlier, when an Israeli strike had targeted a motorcycle on Salah al-Din Street in central Gaza.
Flares, Artillery, and Gunboats Across the Strip.
In central Gaza, Israeli forces fired flares over the eastern areas of Deir al-Balah, while their artillery shelled the northern areas of Bureij camp and the vicinity of the Wadi Gaza bridge. In northern Gaza, Israeli warships opened fire toward areas northwest of Gaza City. The strikes came a day after eight Palestinians, including a boy and a girl, were killed Monday in a series of Israeli airstrikes on homes, residential neighborhoods, displacement tents, and mosques across the Gaza Strip.
Israeli forces have now continued violating the ceasefire agreement for a 319th consecutive day, in a pattern of near-daily strikes, gunfire, and shelling that has persisted despite the truce reached in October of last year, with local sources reporting fresh casualties across nearly every part of the Strip regularly.
