Two Homes Demolished in a Single Morning.
Israeli forces demolished two Palestinian homes in the Jenin and Ramallah governorates in the West Bank, coinciding with a large military deployment and the closure of main roads. In southwestern Jenin, troops moved three military bulldozers and armored vehicles into the Arraba station area, sealed off the site after blocking its entrances, and proceeded to tear down a three-story house. Local sources reported a heavy troop presence around the Arraba roundabout and the closure of the Nablus–Jenin road throughout the operation.
A Family of Five Left Homeless in Ni’lin
In the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, military bulldozers destroyed a home in the town of Ni’lin, west of Ramallah, after forces backed by two bulldozers stormed the western part of the town. Ni’lin’s mayor, Imad al-Khawaja, said the roughly 200-square-meter house sheltered a family of five and was demolished despite the owner having filed a legal appeal after receiving a demolition notice the previous month. He noted that Israeli authorities justified the demolition by claiming the property stood on land classified as a protected area. The demolitions come amid an intensifying pattern of similar operations in the Arraba station area, which has recently seen the leveling of commercial and agricultural structures as well as other Palestinian property.
Sweeping Raids, Arrests, and Settler Attacks Across the West Bank
Alongside the demolitions, Israeli forces carried out extensive raid-and-search operations in the Hebron governorate, covering the towns of Beit Ummar, Idhna, Dura, and Yatta, searching homes and vehicles and detaining several residents, including a journalist, for field questioning. Military checkpoints were set up at the entrances to Hebron city and its surrounding towns, and roads were closed using iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds, disrupting residents’ movement.
Further south, settlers, operating under military protection, released cattle into olive-planted farmland in the Wad al-Nafakh area near the village of al-Burj, damaging crops. Separately, Israeli forces detained eight Palestinians in the Nablus governorate during pre-dawn raids on several towns and the Balata refugee camp east of the city, searching and raiding homes before making arrests. Four more Palestinians were detained in the Qalqilya governorate following incursions into the city and the towns of Kafr Qaddum, Hajja, and Baqat al-Hatab, with search operations lasting hours before Israeli forces withdrew.
This escalation follows days of intensified Israeli military activity across the occupied West Bank, after clashes near the village of Tell, west of Nablus, left four Palestinians and two Israelis dead, including one officer with the rank of major, alongside a rise in settler attacks on Palestinian villages and towns. According to the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli forces and settlers carried out 11,074 attacks on Palestinians and their property during the first half of 2026, while 20 Palestinians have been killed by settler gunfire since the start of the year — figures pointing to an escalating pattern of violence in the West Bank.
