Including 10 children..100 cases of arrest in Jericho since the beginning of this year

The Prisoner Club said that (100) arrest cases were recorded in Jericho governorate since the beginning of this year, and they concentrated in Aqabat Jabr camp, which is witnessing an escalating confrontation with the occupation, and among the detainees were ten children.

The Prisoner Club pointed out in a brief statement, today, Monday, that (32) of them are still under arrest, and part of them are under investigation to date, and a group of them have been issued orders to prevent them from meeting with a lawyer.

The Club said that among the detainees were first-degree relatives of the martyrs, including the administrative detainee Wael Awadat (51 years old), who is the father of the two martyrs, Raafat and Ibrahim, and the father of the prisoner, Abdel Hafez Awadat.

It added that the occupation authorities transferred 15 of them to administrative detention, including Wael Awadat.

The Prisoner Club stated that the majority of those arrested were subjected to abuse, threats, and torture, which affected their families, in addition to the repeated storming of citizens’ homes.

It stressed that through testimonies and follow-up, the policy of (collective punishment) was the most prominent policy that the occupation authorities deliberately used against citizens in Jericho, specifically in Aqabat Jaber camp, which has been subjected to more than one aggression since the beginning of this year.
