Jordanian Prime Minister Bishr Al-Khasawneh discussed, in Doha, today, Monday, with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, developments in the Middle East, especially with regard to the situation in the Palestinian arena and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Prime Ministers of Jordan and Qatar affirmed the condemnation and rejection of the two countries of the repeated Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people and the Israeli incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Qudsi Al-Sharif, and the attack on it and the worshipers in it, pointing to the need for the international community to move to compel Israel to stop its flagrant violations of international law and force it to respect the decisions of international legitimacy.
They reaffirmed, according to what was reported by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the firm position of the two countries regarding the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is the establishment of their independent state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
They stressed the necessity of preserving the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem and its sanctities, preserving and caring for them, based on the Hashemite tutelage that King Abdullah II carries out with all honesty, responsibility and competence.
