Israeli settlers set fire to agricultural crops in Masafer Yatta

Israeli settlers today set fire to agricultural crops belonging to a local Palestinian resident in the village of at-Tuwani, in Masafer Yatta to the south of Hebron, said a local activist.

Anti-settlement activist, Osama Makhamreh, said that settlers from the settlement of Havat Maon, built illegally on Palestinian-owned land, set fire to more than 10 dunums of land planted with crops; such as wheat, barley, and olive trees, destroying the crops.

Settlers also allowed their sheep to graze in lands planted with crops in the said town and inflicted damages to residents’  properties. Residents rushed to the scene and were able to fend off the settlers.
