Egypt condemns the Israeli aggression against Jenin, warns of the dangers of the continued escalation

Egypt today condemned the Israeli army assault on the West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp, which led to the death of five people and the injury of dozens.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement Egypt’s rejection of the repeated Israeli attacks and incursions into Palestinian cities that result in many casualties, as well as the excessive and indiscriminate use of force, and the flagrant violation of the provisions of international law and international legitimacy, especially international humanitarian law, which imposes clear obligations on Israel as the occupying power.

Egypt warned of the serious dangers of the ongoing Israeli escalation against the Palestinians, which leads to fueling the tension, exacerbating the suffering of the Palestinian people, and undermining the efforts made by Egypt and its regional and international partners to reduce tension in the occupied territories.

It called on international actors and influencers to intervene to put an end to these violations and to provide protection for the Palestinian people, whose suffering is increasing every day.
