Israeli occupation forces target journalists covering the assault on Jenin

The Israeli occupation forces today targeted Palestinian journalists covering the military aggression on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp.

The occupation forces opened fire at al-Arabi TV reporter, Amid Shehadeh, and cameraman Rabi Munir, which set the camera and transmitter on fire.

Shehadeh said the occupation forces directly targeted him and the cameraman with more than six bullets that hit the camera and the transmitter and damaged them.

Five other journalists said they were trapped inside a house in the camp and that the Israeli forces are targeting them directly, urging the International Committee of the Red Cross to evacuate them from that house.

The continuing Israeli aggression against Jenin and its camp, which started after midnight, has so far resulted in the death of seven people and the injury of more than 30 others, seven of them critically.
