Israeli settler militias attack the village of Urif

Hardcore Israeli settler militias this evening attacked the Palestinian village of Urif, to the south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Adel Amer, a spokesman for the Urif village council, said that scores of army-guarded Israeli settlers from the colonial Israeli settlement of Yitzhar attacked a school and houses in village, sparking confrontations with local residents.

No injuries were reported following the Israeli attack.

The Israeli settlement of Yitzhar is notorious for its hardcore Jewish settler community who in the past committed several terror attacks against Palestinians and their property, including arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied territories is almost a daily occurrence, and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli occupation authorities.
