Two Palestinians, one minor, shot and seriously injured by Israeli occupation forces overnight in East Jerusalem

Israeli occupation forces last night shot and seriously injured two Palestinians in two separate incidents in occupied East Jerusalem, one of them a minor, according to local sources.

In Silwan neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem located just outside the Old City wall, forces shot and critically injured Abed Amer al-Zaghal, 15, while he was walking in the neighborhood, said witnesses.

Some reports said Zaghal was shot by a Jewish guard of an illegal Israeli settlement built in the heart of the Palestinian neighborhood.

The boy was hit in the head and was rushed to hospital where he was reported in critical condition.

Israeli forces raided the neighborhood following the shooting, said sources.

In Shufat refugee camp, northeast of Jerusalem, Israeli forces opened fire at a car seriously injuring one and arresting the other.

The forces claimed the car refused orders to stop and therefore fire was opened at it.

One person, in his 20s, was seriously injured and taken to hospital, and the second was detained, according to local sources.

The two were residents of nearby Hizma town.
