Israeli occupation soldiers break into an elementary school near Jerusalem, causing heavy damage to property

Israeli occupation forces this morning broke into Izzariyeh Elementary School for Girls, east of Jerusalem, and caused heavy damage to the property, according to the school principal, Sireen Faroun.

She said the teachers and students were shocked by the volume of damage caused to the school in the raid, during which the soldiers blew up doors, searched the classrooms, and seized CCTV cameras, destroying some and causing heavy damage to property.

The Palestinian Ministry of Education condemned the army vandalism of the school property, considering it a blatant violation of human rights and the right of children to a safe and secure education.

It said it shows the difficult conditions experienced by students and teachers in occupied Jerusalem and its suburbs as a result of the war waged by the occupation forces against educational institutions.
