On Saturday, the Israeli army kidnapped Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, after beating him and storming the health facility in northern Gaza on Friday, setting it on fire while medical staff and patients were still inside, according to health officials.
This military operation followed nearly three months of a complete blockade and relentless airstrikes on the hospital’s departments and surrounding areas.
Medical sources reported that hundreds of medical staff in northern Gaza were kidnapped by Israeli occupation forces, including 33 members from Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, confirming that their fate is unknown.
