Israeli Forces and Settlers Launch Wave of West Bank Raids, Injuries and Arrests

Hebron, occupied West Bank — Palestinian communities across the West Bank woke to a coordinated string of settler attacks and military incursions before dawn on Sunday, leaving several residents injured and a number of young men under arrest, according to local sources cited by Quds News Network.

Hebron: Father and Son Among the Wounded

In the town of Sourif, northwest of Hebron, a group of settlers attacked a Palestinian family, wounding three people, including a father and his son. The Red Crescent said the victims had been shot at and beaten, with one young man suffering head and facial injuries before being taken for treatment. Dozens of additional settlers, backed by Israeli forces, also pushed into Hebron’s Old City.

Further south, in the Masafer Yatta area, residents confronted a group of settlers who attacked shepherds near the “Adqiqa” area. In the aftermath, Israeli forces detained three young men — Ibrahim Adnan Ka’abna, Suleiman Yousef Ka’abna, and Ibrahim Jamil al-Najada.

Nablus: Farmers Blocked From Their Own Land

In Nablus governorate, Israeli forces prevented farmers from reaching agricultural land between the towns of Beit Furik and Salem, blocking the harvest season entirely. Troops also raided Beit Furik itself and opened live fire during an incursion into the nearby village of Burin.

Salfit: Herb-Pickers Attacked

Three more Palestinians were wounded in Salfit governorate after settlers attacked them while they picked wild sage (maramiya) on the outskirts of the village of Iskaka. All three were hospitalized for bruises and other injuries.

Ramallah and Jerusalem: Armed Settlers, Tear Gas and a New Checkpoint

Israeli forces stormed the center of Tarmasayya in the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, while armed settlers simultaneously surrounded a home on the town’s eastern edge. Settlers also pushed into the outskirts of Deir Jarir, further east.

In Jenin, forces detained Mohammed Fouad Jaradat from Jenin refugee camp after raiding his family home and beating his brother.

Near occupied Jerusalem, troops stormed the entrance to Hizma and set up a new military checkpoint, while tear gas canisters were fired from behind the separation wall toward the road near Qalandia refugee camp.

Part of a Broader Escalation

Sunday’s violence fits a documented pattern of rising settler and military activity across the West Bank. Data cited in the report shows 1,659 attacks recorded in May alone — 1,108 carried out by Israeli forces and 551 by settlers.
