Administrative prisoners decide to go on open-ended hunger strike
The Committee of Administrative Prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons decided, on Friday, to go on an open hunger strike, which will begin in the coming days.
According to a committee statement published by the Prisoners’ Information Office, this step aims to put pressure on the occupation to force it to deal with the demands of administrative prisoners, most notably, to set the ceiling for administrative detention, and to stop this mean massacre that crushed our lives, destroyed our dreams, and stole the flowers of our youth. As stated in the text of the statement.
It considered that the collective hunger strike, with external support and the embrace of my factions, is an effective and accomplished weapon, noting that the decision was taken after various consultations that took place around the clock with outside prisons.
It called on the administrative prisoners who are able to register their names to participate in the strike, and to write their wills from now on.
It also called on the resistance and the Palestinian people to stand behind the captive movement of the administrative detainees.
