Commerating Palestinian Prisoner’s Day in Brussels

Palestinian community in Brussels commemorated today, Sunday, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Day, with a solidarity stand in which hundreds of members of the community, members of parliament, representatives of Belgian parties, and supporters of Palestine participated.

During the stand, which was called for by the community and the European Coalition in Support of Palestinian Prisoners, the Belgian Anthal Institutions, and the Belgian-Palestinian Association, the participants raised Palestinian flags, pictures of prisoners in the occupation prisons, and slogans in support of the struggle of the Palestinian people.

The stand, which was held in Europe Square in front of the central train station in the center of the capital, included speeches for the Palestinian community in Belgium delivered by Hamdan Al-Dumairi, the representative of the Belgian Antal Foundation, and a speech by a member of the European Parliament from the United Left group, Mark Potanga, in addition to an official of the Association for a Just Peace. Marco Avrahamic, during which they stressed the need for a Belgian and European position to end the suffering of the prisoners, and force the occupation authorities to abide by the resolutions of international legitimacy and the charters of the United Nations.

The participants called on the Belgian and European official authorities to take serious action to impose sanctions on the occupying entity, which daily violates all international rules, laws and norms.
