Center: (1230) administrative detention decisions against prisoners since the beginning of 2023
The Palestine Center for Prisoner Studies said that the occupation has escalated significantly during the current year in issuing administrative orders against prisoners, as the occupation courts have issued (1230) administrative decisions since the beginning of the year, between new and renewal.
The center stated in a statement, today, Saturday, that the number of administrative prisoners has increased in recent months with the intensification of the issuance of administrative orders, reaching more than (1,000) prisoners, and this prompted the Administrative Prisoners Committee to mobilize inside prisons to adopt a broad escalatory struggle program during the upcoming period.
The Center noted that administrative detention affected all segments of Palestinian society, as the occupation courts issued hundreds of administrative orders against children, women, MPs, academics, leaders of national and Islamic action, and even patients with serious diseases.
The Palestine Center stated that the occupation is still detaining 3 female prisoners, 14 minors, two deputies and a former minister, in addition to two prisoners who suffer from cancer.
