Israeli settlers and soldiers took part today in assaulting Palestinian civilians in Masafer Yatta in the south of the West Bank causing a number of injuries.
Rateb al-Jabour, a local activist, said that settlers assaulted dwellers and shepherds in Sadet al-Thala community in Masafer Yatta and one of the settlers tried to run over sheep owned by a local resident.
He said the young men in the community confronted the settlers and forced them to leave the area when occupation forces intervened to protect the settlers and closed the area to the Palestinians.
Settlers also attacked and assaulted several people in al-Tuwana community, causing bruises to some, including a 55-year-old man who was taken to the hospital.
The Israeli occupation forces also stormed al-Tuwana and al-Mufqara communities in Masafer Yatta and assaulted residents as the soldiers searched and ransacked their homes.
