Three Palestinians, including a young man preparing for his upcoming wedding, were killed overnight in an Israeli strike on Gaza City, in what marks another violation of the ceasefire amid ongoing near-daily attacks.
According to local sources, the strike targeted a group of civilians in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City, killing three people.
One of those killed was a groom-to-be whose wedding had been planned for the coming days.
Despite the ceasefire that came into effect in October, Israeli attacks across Gaza have intensified, with repeated violations including the killing of hundreds of Palestinians and the continued blocking of urgently needed humanitarian aid.
The latest attack occurred one day after at least six people were killed in Israeli strikes on two police positions in southern Gaza. Earlier on Saturday, three Palestinians — among them two brothers — were killed, while four others were wounded in separate incidents involving Israeli shelling and gunfire in different parts of the Gaza Strip.
Since the ceasefire began, Israeli forces have killed more than 670 Palestinians, including over 300 children, women, and elderly people.
Since the war started on October 7, 2023, more than 72,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks.
