Israeli forces assault a woman, detain her husband near Jenin

Israeli occupation forces assaulted a Palestinian woman and arrested her husband today in the village of Imreiha, to the southwest of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

The sources said that an Israeli army force arrested Hussein Ali Hamdouni, a resident of the village, after assaulting him and his pregnant wife at a checkpoint near the village.

The husband and wife were about to cross a temporary Israeli checkpoint at the entrance to the village when they were assaulted and teargassed by the Israeli soldiers, the sources said.

The wife was moved to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. In the meantime, Israeli occupation forces bulldozed Palestinian-owned lands and dirt roads leading to the nearby town of Ya’bad.
