Israeli stop-construction order issued for a Palestinian-owned house in Masafer Yatta

The Israeli occupation authorities today issued a stop-construction order for a Palestinian-owned house in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

They said the Israeli forces posted the stop-construction order on the wall of the 100-square-meter house owned by a local resident, which is usually a prelude to demolishing the structure.

Israel does not allow Palestinian construction in Masafer Yatta, which is located in Area C of the occupied West Bank and is still under full Israeli military control, and allows only settlement activities and construction in order to eventually annex the area.
