Campaign of raids and arrests in Ya`bad town

Israeli occupation forces launched, on Tuesday’s evening, a campaign of raids on citizens’ homes in the town of Ya’bad, southwest of Jenin, during which they arrested a number of citizens, during their continuous raid into the town hours ago.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces arrested Rami Tawfiq Abu Bakr, Mustafa Shawqi Abadi, and the freed prisoner Ahmed Jawad Abu Bakr, after raiding and searching their homes and tampering with their contents.

The occupation forces also arrested two young men, Moamen Mahmoud Abadi and Ahmed Nasser Abadi, after raiding their homes in the “Al-Maloul” neighborhood, before releasing them at a later time.

Since the afternoon hours, large forces of the occupation army stormed the town, raided several neighborhoods in it, closed the “Dotan” military checkpoint, and set up military checkpoints at its entrances, under the pretext that a settler vehicle was shot at.

The occupation forces closed the road linking Ya`bad and Mariha and a number of secondary roads with dirt berms, tightened their military siege on the town, and prevented the movement of citizens.

The occupation forces also seized a vehicle and surveillance camera recordings in the town, and launched extensive campaigns of raids and searches in homes and shops.

Several neighborhoods in the town witnessed clashes between young men and the occupation soldiers, but no injuries were reported.
