Palestinian man injured in a settler attack in northern Jordan Valley

A Palestinian citizen suffered injuries this evening in an assault by Israeli settlers which targeted him while he while grazing his livestock in the northern Jordan Valley, northeast of the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Mahdi Draghmeh, the head of the Al-Maleh Council, said a group of Israeli settlers attacked Ahmed Hussein Draghmeh while he was grazing his livestock east of Al-Farsiya village in the northern Jordan Valley. During the attack, Draghmeh sustained a broken arm and was subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Palestinian shepherds in the Jordan Valley have been facing almost daily incidents of settler violence directed at them, and this latest attack adds to a growing list of such attacks.

International organizations and human rights advocates have consistently called for an end to settler violence experienced on a daily basis by Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
