11 martyrs and 2,920 violations of Israeli occupation in West Bank and Jerusalem during April

The Palestine Information Center “Ma’ati” monitored (2920) violations by the occupation forces and settlers during the month of April, during which (11) citizens, including two children, were killed, and (703) citizens, including women, children and the elderly, were wounded. 175) assault.

In the middle of the holy month of Ramadan, the occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque during Tarawih prayers, threw stun grenades inside the mosque, cut off the electricity supply to the Al-Qibli prayer hall, broke the door of the medical clinic, and assaulted those who were in i’tika’, including women, inside Al-Aqsa Mosque and its courtyards.

Hundreds of worshipers were arrested, their feet were tied and trampled upon, to force them to break up their retreat and remove them from Al-Aqsa Mosque. This was followed by thousands of settlers storming Al-Aqsa courtyards under close guard by the occupation forces.

According to the Center, the number of cases of deportation from their places of residence and Al-Aqsa Mosque reached (22) citizens, and (179) arrests carried out by the occupation forces against Jerusalemites, out of (485) arrests in the West Bank, while the number of settlers who stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque reached (5054) settler.

The occupation authorities also continued their settlement activities, and the number of settlement activities reached (12) activities, which varied between confiscating and leveling lands, building roads, and approving the construction of settlement units.

The settlers committed (144) attacks.

The occupation forces and settlers destroyed Palestinian property, including shops, agricultural facilities, barracks, and others, with a number of (55) facilities, and confiscated (59) of the properties.

The center documented (30) attacks on places of worship and sanctities, and the number of roads and areas that were closed reached (40) areas, and the number of fixed and temporary barriers in different areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem reached (459) barriers.

During that period, the governorates of Nablus, Jerusalem, and Hebron were the most exposed to violations by the occupation, with (785, 604, and 331) violations, respectively.
