Number of administratively detained female prisoners increased to three

The Palestine Center for Prisoners Studies confirmed that the number of administratively detained female prisoners without charge in the occupation prisons rose to three, after the occupation court issued today an administrative detention order against the prisoner, Samah Bilal Hijjawi, from Qalqilya, for a period of 4 months.

The Palestine Center stated that the occupation forces had arrested the young woman, “Hijjawi”, on the 17th of May, after she was summoned for an interview with the occupation intelligence. Her detention was extended once for a period of 72 hours. Today, an administrative detention order was issued against her.

The Palestine Center added that the two captives, “Raghad Al-Fanni” from Tulkarem, and Rawda Abu Ajamiyeh from Bethlehem, have been subject to administrative detention since their arrest. “Al-Fanni” was arrested in October 2022 at a checkpoint while she was traveling to the city of Ramallah, and her administrative renewal was renewed for the second time. On the other hand, “Abu Ajima” was arrested on the fourth of last April and transferred to administrative detention for a period of 4 months.
